Marquetry Workshop

Want to take your home woodworking to the next level? Join engineer, timber framer, and boat builder Grigg Mullen in CBMM's Shipyard for this weekend workshop to learn the art of marquetry or wood veneer design. This class will cover the basic techniques, proper tool usage, and design of marquetry. For this session, participants will be making a couple of simple test pieces followed by a compass rose. A sharp marking knife and chisels will be useful if you have them, but some will be available. Sharpening help will be provided.
